So my P (Preparation) Day here at the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo is on Fridays, so that is why I get to email already!
The first two days have been great. They’ve been very long as we do a lot, but it has been wonderful!
I flew into SLC on Wednesday. We were at the airport at 4:30 a.m. and I got no sleep the night before, so I was very tired, but it was okay as I got to sleep on the plane. Then a friend of my dad, who also served in the London Mission back in the day, picked me up from the airport. We stopped at In-N-Out for lunch, which was absolutely awesome. Always gotta get my In-N-Out burger. We then stopped by the Provo Temple for a few pics, and I was quickly taken to the MTC!
I put my luggage in my room, where 6 girls are staying, and then went straight to class. There I met my companion, Sister Erasmus. She’s from Farmington, UT and will be serving in the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors Center! She’s super awesome and sweet. We also have a third companion right now because her companion isn’t here yet. Her companion has been super sick, but she’s supposed to be coming to the MTC today! Anyways, the third companion we have had is Sister Little, and she’s from Bakersfield, CA and serving in the London South Mission, as well as the London Temple Visitors Center. I have loved working with my companions!
The rest of the day we had classes and dinner. Man, they feed us A LOT here. Seriously it’s like the freshman fifteen all over again. But classes have been wonderful. I’m learning so much! We then got back to our room around 9:30 p.m., unpacked, and then were in bed around 11.
6:00 a.m. came pretty fast Thursday morning! Thursday was our first full day. It was so great. I thought I’d do a lot of sitting in classrooms and then eating, but I actually do a ton of walking too haha so that’s always good.
So Thursday was wonderful! I love it here, and am so blessed to have the opportunity to serve. It’s amazing to meet so many other missionaries who are going all over the world. I actually met a girl in the airport who is from Brazil that will be serving in the Temple Square Mission. I get to see her around the MTC all the time, and she’s so awesome, so that’s been fun!
Well, I hope everyone is doing great! I learned this new cool thing where if you email me at DearElder.com, I’ll get that email printed out to me that day! Otherwise, if you email me here, I won’t see your email until next Friday. So I’d love to hear from everyone, and if you write me at DearElder.com, I’ll write you back a paper letter, the good old way.
Until next Friday, love ya’ll! God is good and life is wonderful.
